Resons why the US should not attack Iran

Strategically, China and Russia have energy agreements worth billions of dollars signed with the Iranian government, soon also to involve India and Pakistan, if they don't already. To imagine that these countries would not react in any way to an attack on their energy security is disingenuous at best. China, it should be remembered, now totally controls the fate of the American economy through its massive US dollar reserves, and could destroy it in one stroke should it so desire. The US is unprotected against such a response should it occur, and would not survive it. Nor would the economies of the UK or the world, but especially the western world.

Is this true?

On the other hand, many people in the US military want to smack China anyway...
